The Williams Lake and District Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals first opened in April of 1983 with it's first warrant issued. Our area includes a population of approximately 40,000 and takes in Williams Lake, 150 Mile House, Horsefly, Likely, Riske Creek, Hanceville, Lac La Hache, and McLeese Lake. We provide shelter for lost, abandoned, injured, and unwanted animals throughout the warrant area. As we are not Government funded, the WLSPCA has succeeded solely on the donations of the caring people of Williams Lake and Area. Volunteered time is another donation which has helped the Williams Lake Branch to continue.
